Clearproof by Mary Kay Review

Hello Beauties,

Today's post will be about my current skincare routine and a review of the products ive been using. I was chosen by influenster to try out the clearproof skincare regimen. As you know from my previous post i suffer from acne prone skin, cystic acne and oily skin. Ive used tons of skincare products and none seemed to help. I tried this regimen out for 30 days to get an accurate review for you all. Lets get started.

What you get:
●Clear proof Clarifying Cleansing Gel - 4.5 OZ. - 2% Salicylic Acid
●Clear Proof Blemish Control Toner - 5 FL. OZ. - 2% Salicylic Acid
●Clear Proof Acne Treatment Gel - 1 OZ. - 5% Benzoyl Peroxide
●Clear Proof Oil-free Moisturizer for Acne-prone Skin - 3 FL. OZ

I first started off with the cleansing gel, washing my face like normal with a clean wash cloth. The problem people run into is they done not allow there face to fully dry between each step, which clogs your pores and causes breakouts. After my face is dry i take the blemish control toner on a cotton ball and apply it all over my face and neck. When thats dry i apply the acne treatment to my cheeks, neck and forehead then when dried i apply the Moisturizer all over my face and neck.

(Before)

What they claim:
●Clears up blemishes without irritation and help maintains a clear complexion
●Unclogs pores, removes excess oil and leaves skin feeling healthier
●Fades the look of lingering acne spots
●Attacks multiple factors that can contribute to acne breakouts

Pros:
●Helps with forehead acne/texture
●Helps with pimples
●Acne treatment clears up pimples overnight
●Helped with my stubborn cystic acne
●Dries and absorbs quickly into the skin
●Super easy to use

Cons:
●Moisturizer doesnt moisturize very well (even with my oily skin)
●Really have to be religious with using it or ill start breaking out
●Toner fragrance burns and makes eyes water when applied near them
●Toner also burns pimples
●Did not fade my existing acne spots
●Did not reduce my oil production in my face
●Having to order through mary kay instead of just heading to the store

(Two weeks)

(After 30 days)

I do really like this system! It has left my skin feeling amzing. I do however wish it would of faded my acne spots. For all the products will cost you $45 for the set. To by the products seperately would cost $59 dollars. The set is definitely the way to go. They also have a Clear Proof Pore-Purifying Serum for $17 dollars that was not included in the kit, and i did not recieve this product so i cannot review it.

Price Breakdown:
●Cleanser - $16
●Toner - $15
●Treatment - $10
●Moisturizer - $18

Disclaimer:
I did recieve these products for free through influenster and mary kay. I am not being sponsored. All opinions of these prodcts are my own.
With that being said I hope this review helped. Dont forget to follow my blog and my social medias!

Sweet Smoke

Hello Beauties,

Today tutorial is warm smokey eye with winged liner, an orange blush and just a clear gloss on the lips. I decided to create this simple eye look using mostly one palette. Hope you enjoy the tutorial.

PRODUCTS USED:

● Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer - Medium Light
● Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer - 430 Medium
● ELF Eyelid Primer - Sheer
● Nyx Love in Paris Palette - LIP05 Parisian Chic
● Wet n Wild Coloricon Palette - 738 Comfort Zone
● Wet n Wild Fergie Cre'me Eyeliner - Little Black Dress
● L' Oreal Voluminous
● Wet n Wild Mega Impact

I started off by priming my eye with the concealers and eyelid primer. I used the light tan color from the love in paris palette as my transition shade.

Next I took the golden brown crease color from the comfort zone palette and put it into my crease with a fluffy blending brush.

Then from the same palette I used the dark brown shimmer shade in my outer crease and outer third of my lid.

I applied the copper gold shade to the rest of my lid. Blending the dark brown and copper together where they meet.

I highlighted my browbone with the cream color from the love in paris palette, then I created winged liner using my black cream liner.

After finishing my face I added the dark brown color from the comfort zone palette to my lower lashline getting it as close as possible. I took the golden brown shade to blend out the harsh dark brown line on my lower lashline. Lastly I added two coats of my mascara.

Tutorial: Fall/Cranberry/Plum smokey eye

Hello Beauties,

I decided to do a tutorial on my go to Fall eye look. I also switched up how im going to start doing my tutorials. Let me know your thoughts.

PRODUCTS USED:

● Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer - Medium Light
● Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter - 430 Medium
● E.L.F. Eyelid Primer - Sheer
● NYC Sparkle Eye Dust - Champagne (893)
● Nyx Love in Paris Palette - LIP05 Parisian Chic
● E.L.F 32 Neutral Eyeshadow Palette
● E.L.F 144 Bright Eyeshadow Palette
● Wet N Wild Mega Impact Mascara
● L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara

First i started off by priming my eyes mixing the hard candy and rimmel concealers and then adding my elf primer on top.

Next I take the light tan color out of the Love in Paris palette and apply it to my crease as my transition shade to help blending later.

Out of the the 144 bright palette I took the red and bright red pink together with a blending brush and put it messily into my crease. Keep applying till its as your desired brightness.

Next out of the neutral palette I took a warm caramel color to blend out the red in the upper crease. If you use some pigmentation while blending go back in the red shades or the caramel color.

I took the dark brown shade with gold shimmers from the Love in Paris palette with a flat shader brush and applied to the outer third of my lid and up into the crease. Blending it in with a clean blending brush. I also took the cranberry/plum shimmer shade from the 144 bright palette and apply it over the red shade in the crease to help blend the dark brown in.

I then put the shimmer dust all over the lid making sure to blend the dark brown and champagne colors togetger in the outer third.

Next I applied the dark brown with gold sparkles on the lower lashline and blended out with the cranberry/plum shade. Next I took a light tan color and put it on my brow bone and inner tear duct for a highlight. Lastly I curled my lashes, and applied 2 coats of both Mega Impact and Volumious mascaras. Waited for them to dry then curled my lashes again.

I decided to keep the rest of my face pretty neutral so the eyes were the main focus of this look.

Hope you all enjoyed the tutorial! Don't forget to follow my blog and comment below! Let me know if you like this tutorial style over how I did it before let me know! Head over to the Contact Info tab to follow all my social medias!

Acne Free Brush Review

Hello beauties,

Today im going to be reviewing the Acne Free Brush. A little background about my skin before using the acne free kit. Growing up at most i would get a break out every once in awhile or around my time of the month. I didn't start getting semi regular breakouts until i turned nineteen. I never really had a real problem with acne before... Earlier this year i saw i saw the kit at walmart for around 20.00. During that time i started using the MAC Cosmetics Prolongwear foundation. That foundation is hard to take off the way that i like to remove my makeup, so i thought this brush would be perfect to remove it, soften my skin and deep clean. The first couple of times i thought it was great and that i loved it. Now i figured this was a similar product to the clarisonic and i saw some reviews on the clarisonic. They all mostly had the same conclusion that your skin will get worse before better. I can testify to the getting worse part. After the inital week i started getting horrible acne on my cheeks, forehead and neck. At the time i didnt know anything about acne or skin care. I figured my skin just didnt like the combination of skincare i was using. I started switching it up using different face washes, masks and scrubs but nothing ever worked. At this point it was starting to affect my self esteem and confidence. Im 22 years old and i felt very uncomfortable leaving the house without my makeup on, unlike before where i didnt really care if i was wearing makeup or not. I finally decided enough was enough and i started to look into acne and maybe figure out what was going on with my skin. I started realizing that i wasnt having normal pimples that form a head on them. I was getting under the skin very red and painful acne. I started doing my research and realized i had cystic acne, which i had never had before. I also found that the brush were creating little cuts on my face that were allowing bacteria in and my natural oils were clogging my pores. I stopped using the acne free brush and face wash about a week ago. I took pictures at this time to show you my skin after using this product. I wish i would of known i was going to review this product so i could of taken before pictures to show you all my skin prior to using this product. To conclude i do not recommend this product.

I am currently trying out a new skincare regime. I was chosen by Influenster (voxbox) and Mary Kay to try out Mary Kay's Clear Proof skincare system. In a few weeks i will be trying it for 30 day. I will write a new review over it. If interested keep an eye out for it in the next few weeks.

Date Night Makeup

Hey beauties,

Today's look/ tutorial was from the look I wore for date night with my fiance last night.

Products Used:

• ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette
• Nyx Love in Paris Palette (Chic )
• Wet N' Wild Creme' Liner (Little Black Dress)
• ELF Eyebrow Kit (Dark)
• Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
• L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara
• Wet N' Wild Mega Impact Mascara
• Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer
• ELF Eye Primer (Sheer)
• MAC Prolongwear Foundation (NC42)
• L'Oreal True Match (N7)
• Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer (Neutralizer)
• Wet N' Wild Color Icon Bronzer (Bikini Contest)
• Wet N' Wild Color Icon Blush (Heather Silk)
• ELF Blush (Pink Passion)
• ELF Baked Highlighter (Blush Gem)
• Rimmel Stay Matte (Sandstone)
• ELF Natural Eyelashes
• Duo Lash Adhesive
• ELF Essentials Lipstick (Seductive)

STEP 1: BROWS

First off I outline my brows and fill them in with wnw creme liner and light fill in the front with the dark liner in the elf eyebrow kit. I then carve out undeunderneath my brows with my maybelline concealer to clean them up.

STEP 2: EYES

I used several color to complete this look and two eyeshadow palettes. I started out by concealing my eyes with the maybelline concealer. Then apply eye primer on top. Eyeshadow time! I used the skin color from the nyx palette as my transition shade (1) all over my lid and crease. (A transition shades purpose is to help the other eyeshadows blend easier.) Next I took (2) from the ELF eyeshadow palette and put that in my outer corner in the crease not going in any further than my iris. Next I mixed (2) and (3) and went over the same area. Then I mixed (4) and (5) together and blended out the harsh edges. I repeated these two steps till I got my desired darkness and blended. Next I applied (6) on the lid and added (7) to the center of my lid. I highlighted my brow bone and inner corner with (8). Lastly i applied (2) and (3) under my lashline and blended it out with (4) and (5). Then i added a thin line of rimmel liquid liner and winged it out. I then measured my ELF lashes to my eyes and cut them to size and applied a thin layer of duo glue to the lash band let them sit for about 30 seconds then applied to my eyes as close to the lashline as I could get. Eyes are finished!

STEP 3: FACE

Lets start by priming my face with sheer envy by hard candy. As that absorbs into the skin I mixed about 2 pea size amount of concealer, 2 and a half pumps of my MAC prolongwear foundation and a nickle size amount of my L'Oreal true match foundation and mix them together. I use a brush first to apply to my face then use a wedge sponge to smooth out the brush strokes. Next i added another pea size amount of concealer and mixed it in with my foundation mixture and apply it under my eyes, middle of forehead, upper lip and chin. I used the same wedge sponge the blend them  out.

STEP 4: BLUSH, BRONZE, HIGHLIGHT AND FINISHING POWDER

I took my bronzer and applied it to under my cheekbones, temples and along my jawline. Next blush, I mixed both and put them on the apple of my cheeks and back to mesh with my bronzer. Finally i added my highlighterto the top of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, very tip of my nose, forehead, upper lip and chin. Lastly I applied rimmel stay matte powder with a sponge because I find using a brush makes it look cakey.

STEP 5: LIPS

I wasn't feeling a ton of lipstick so i tapped on a bit of elfs seductive lipstick and then patted it out with my finger.

THIS COMPLETES THE LOOK. I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT!! COMMENT DOWN BELOW. DON'T FORGET TO FOLLOW MY BLOG AND SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS.

Love Angelica.
